Yesterday I got the keys to my room...well the sub keys anyway...and took a few pictures to be used as "before" images. After I do a little more work today I'll post some update pics. My journey through UCSB's Teacher Education Program has made me a strong believer in table groups. So that's the plan! I'll have 32 sixth graders whom I want to be able to easily collaborate on a daily basis. I think that students teaching and learning from each other is key to long-term retention of material and more meaningful understandings. I'll also have a rug space for whole-group lessons and Morning Meetings.
